summer/salt was written, composed, programmed, and produced over the course of 3 years by Migi de Belen; and co-produced by A.A. Enriquez. Additional guitars have been generously provided by collaborators Clarence Garcia of tide/edit and Ean Aguila of Ang Bandang Shirley and Stomachine. The hard work of the summer/salt team, which also includes project lead Aina Sevilla, mastering engineer Andrew Florentino, and art director Tin Yumul, has enabled the album to be released fully independent of any commercial or record label backing.

“summer/salt” refers to Migi’s failed somersault attempt in 2012 and his subsequent years re-learning how to walk, and eventually run. Moody lyrics contemplating on the nature of forgetting & remembering are matched with catchy melodies and beachy grooves drawing from post-disco, house, electro, and even UK garage. The album will be up for streaming and/or purchase post-launch via major digital music outlets including BandcampiTunes, and Spotify.
