Despite the numerous set time changes, delays and the productions’ overall shortcomings, local artists and the overwhelming support to the local independent music scene ruled Vybe Productions’ first GoodVybes Fest in Aseana City.
Last minute set time changes and the addition of a third stage, among other things, caused a lot of confusion and hours of delay with the local bands like Kjwan, She’s Only Sixteen, B.P. Valenzuela, and MOONWLK’s performances at Vybe Production’s first GoodVybes Festival. But despite the mishaps, local music fans showed their love and support to the artists that performed at the Beat Stage, the ‘LOCAL ARTISTS’ stage of the festival.
International bands like CHVRCHES, Oh Wonder, Stars, and Passion Pit are the festival’s headliners, but part of the lineup include stellar local acts — Brisom, Assembly Generals, Kjwan, She’s Only Sixteen, B.P. Valenzuela, MOONWLK, and Brigada. Despite the fact that the main attraction of the festival are its International acts, people flock the Beat Stage and showed solid support and admiration to the bands that performed on the separate stage in between these said headliner performances.
The production has A LOT to take note off and improve on in terms of overall organization and execution, but what’s important is everyone had a great time and celebrated music and went home with goodvybes.
Here are some snaps from GOODVYBES Festival.
