‘Meet Me at the Gate’ is part punk, part pop, and all heart.
It’s the middle of summer, and whether you’re the type to bask in the heat or the type to hide from it, you will require new tunes to serve as your soundtrack this season. Newcomer RICH CARAMAT, a thirty-something, singer-songwriter from Pililla, Rizal has got you covered with his rocking debut single,‘MEET ME AT THE GATE’.
Clocking in at just a shade below four minutes, ‘Meet Me at the Gate’ encapsulates the youthful exuberance, careless confidence, and intoxicating nostalgia of being young and in love this time of year. The track’s punchy guitars, driving drums, and catchy chorus are reminiscent of mid-90’s to early 2000’s alt-rockers like The Lemonheads, Goo Goo Dolls, and Jimmy Eat World.
Caramat, a regular in the open mic and small club scene in Metro Manila, creates vivid imagery of teenage romance and rebellion with his lyrics. His vocals, on the other hand, offers a tender contrast to his band’s pulsating sound.
Produced by TYPECAST’s STEVE BADIOLA and recorded at THIS IS WHERE I MAKE MUSIC, ‘Meet Me At The Gate’ aka your new summer anthem is now available on YouTube and soon on all major digital platforms.
